Prescriptions can only be issued for the first time if the doctor has had contact with you via a consultation (consultation hour, home visit, telephone or e-consultation).
A repeat prescription applies to medication that you use for a long time. Repeat prescriptions can only be requested if you are known to Doctor Heino Folmer. This is important because we want to know that you are familiar with the use of the medication in order to prevent misuse. Also, in case of long-term use you have to be seen by Doctor Heino Folmer once every 6 months. Therefore the request for a repeat prescription is free of charge. Please request repeat prescriptions at least 48 hours in advance. In some cases the doctor will want to speak to you when you request a repeat prescription.
Repeat prescriptions can only be sent digitally if you have a número de utente (Portuguese health insurance number). If this is not the case, you can collect the prescription from the counter during opening hours.
